When I bought my '01 SRX it had extra idlers installed for drag racing. The guy had them up and down the rails as he didn't run hyfax. I run the sled on trails and we wanted to leave a couple sets still on so I have a set at the front bend of the rail and a set in front of the rear most inner ones, behind the set by the W arm mount. These are mounted inside the rails and ever since I have had this sled I've had to change at least one wheel a season. The wheels ride in the space between the drive lugs and it seems to me that this area is too slim for this wheel to be because it chews the rubber up something fierce. I tried just holding a wheel in the same spot and it seems to fit fine but the flex of the track at that spot must be causing the lugs to rub on the wheel. Has anyone else experienced this? The track is a Camo Predator 9830 model, not the one that came with the sled, and the wheels I keep replacing are the small diameter ones that come in the accessory wheel kit.
