Have a broken power valve bolt in cylinder. Going to remove cylinder & don't want to dump coolant in crank case. Is there drain low on the case ? Are there any tricks to getting air out of cooling system

ya, on top of the waterpump cover there is a silver headed (10mm socket) bolt, says drain next to it. its the only silver colored one and has a copper sealing washer, remove that bolt and it will drain the topend.

you can catch coolant with zip lock bags to eliminate mess or if you plan on reusing

Works on vehicles too. Just need to remove the thermostat and stuff a golf ball tee in the overflow tube.

I always just unhook rear coolant hose and suck out with shop vac. Coolants cheap and needs a good refresh now and then. Just use safe for aluminum block, silica free. 50/50 is fine but I use 60/40 Yamaha specs.
