Hi, I'm going to freshen up the top end on my sons stock 02 viper, I have heard u can run a sxr base gasket and some special head gasket for better cooling, can someone help me out on this subject. Thanks

Yes the SRX base gasket helps with cooling in the same way as the opticool. I run a stock base and the bender opticool head gasket. I've never heard of anyone running both. I run benders opticool in my Vipers, but heard the srx base is also a good option. I would call bender personally to see if they have them in stock. Sometimes ordering online is a crap shoot.

super1c, do u run a rear exchanger or just the gasket?

Yes i run the rear exchanger on all my vipers. Single most important cooling mod on a viper. Should have been stock, and was on the 04's.
