Here is a pick i found of it. I take it the three bottom tubes are output to each of the carbs. Is the brass fitting a suction tube?
The brass tube and the one of the end I'm not sure of. Its got 1 input, 3 outputs to carb and a 5th tube on the end that I am not sure of.
I'm thinking to test mine I would pull off one of the output tubes and just pull the engine over and see if gas shoots out.
Is that the best way to test it?

The brass one is the oil in (from the oil pump)
The larger one near it is your pulse line
The other 3 are fuel supply for each carb
The one that is on the other side sticking straight up is the fuel supply from the tank
Personally I like to take them apart and make sure they are clean with no tears in the diaphragms. They are very simple in operation and they should work fine if no leaks. If you do take it apart be careful to avoid tearing gaskets or diaphragms. And be sure to keep the order of the parts right. Pics along the way can be helpful and I always lay them exactly as they came apart.
