Bad coil 2001 SRX what fits?

As the title suggests I found my misfire problem (was missing at around 7K at WOT)

was wondering if sx coils would work (or any pre 2000 coils?)

yours are on a rack mounted to reed cages, the sx are on the airbox, much smaller coil, they wont even fit the mounts and a different resistance as the sx is the old style 175 watt ignition like the 98-99 srx is. Your 2001 srx uses a 300 watt ign system that's 3d only fires each plug, where as the old one fires all 3 same time everytime.

I have never tried to use the wrong part to tell you what will happen if you use the wrong coils on your new style 3d ignition and the cdi box. they for sure are not the same coils.
