Heres a pet project i started last fall which only recently got its first test. The sleigh was bucking back and forth on the hitch(fully loaded with 800lbs of wood)only having the coil springs controlling the load.I had a used front skid shock out of my old mans 1996 ET410 not doing anything useful. After alot of welding, fitting, measuring(not in that order:o|)i came up with a prototype hitch than cuts down on alot of the forces tearing into the ETs chassis pulling the monster loads.A stainless swivel at the end gives it a full 360 degrees of rotation so when the sleigh rolls over the snowmobile doesn,t.Here are some pics... alot of guys our way use rear shocks off peddle bikes. being for a lighter load they work good for this.
