Wondering if there is any dyne info, or reccomendations from people who have tried both.
I was running the SRX reeds with notch in my 600 twin till the motor went down, I now threw a set of V-Force 3's in because I had them new in the box, but will go back to the SRX's if there are gains to be had over the V-Force.
Any thoughts are appreciated !

I don't think there is much difference. I went from carbon tech to stock and felt no difference.

You just switched the petals and used the stock cage ?
Or was is a whole assembly like the Vforce?

Yamaha did a great job on their reed cages. Unless running mods the v force reeds will not gain you anything. But if they are already in leave them as you don't lose anything either.

Well, what makes me wonder, is the VForce I have in there are 600 twin Vforce.
From what I read, they have a smaller surface area on the reeds themselves than the larger SRX reeds.

I guarantee there will be no noticable difference between the two on this particular engine.

I just put 2004 Viper 700 reed cages with stock new Yamaha reeds and notched the top reed stopper for my 2001 Venture 500 big difference in the mid range.
