Oil Level Light SXR

The oil indicator light stays on all the time. Installed new unit, same results. Manual start, looked for fuse box doesn't seem to be one? Suspect must be the wire to positive connection, again where, CDI Box maybe?

Check for rub through son main harness under engine. Very common and could be messing with your oil light. No fuse box to look for and very unlikely it has anything to do with CDI. Check harness.

To get to wires under motor looks like motor removal? Will clip lead at sender junction and do a bypass there with current from other soarce.

No need to remove the motor, pull the pipes and carbs. Unplug everything on the hood side and pull the harness back towards the bulk head.
