Here's a loaded question for you all to ponder.What's your procedure for breaking in either new parts or a completely new engine?Some people are of the mindset to ride it like ya stole it and break in an engine like you MEAN it,where others will do the "normal" thing and use moderate on/off throttle rides and heat soak the engine a time or two so as not to cause any undue stress on new parts.
I was told one time by an old time sledder that after a few miles the engine is broke in.He tried to validate his claim by asking me to think about it,you have an engine revving,say on average,6500 rpms.With parts moving that quickly it won't take very long to wear off any square edges and seat in.I have my doubts about his logic as a whole but some of it makes a bit of sense.Whats everyone's take on this?

when i picked up my new apex in feb., they told me to use variable throttle for the first 10 hours. that was it
