Is this just a pull and replace part or does system need a purging?
Looked through service manual, didn't really learn anything.

The one on the thermostat housing or head? Why would it need to be purged? Remove some of the coolant to the level below that sensor, pull old and replace. Top off fluids.

It's the one in bottom water jacket or t stat housing. I was wondering how much coolant would come out and would it introduce air into the system that would need to be relieved?
If I'm doing the sensor I might as well do the t stat, who knows how old it is. Same thing just drain down and refill?
I appreciate the help as I try to familiarize myself to this sled.

I would just drain down and refill after the change. I am sure you wont loose much if you dont pull the cap.
