So I just installed a new/used set of CPR pipes on my SX700R. I expect it to be quite a bit louder than stock but i do want to repack the silencers, i was wondering if there is any opinions on what is the best packing and where i can get it. Ive read anything from using steel wool, insulation and buying actual packing designed for 2 strokes. Just not to sure how to move forward as far as material goes. Also, i am wondering if there are any other tips to quiet down the pipes as much as possible. Thanks

CPRS are loud by nature, Had a set on my viper. Of all the triples they are one of the quieter ones. I was unaware that you could repack these. My viper ones could not be redone to my knowledge. Great power when set up right!
I'm kind of new to this stuff so I don't really know. I just figured I could repack. How would I know if I can or not?

If the silencer core comes out it should be able to repack. If not no, My guess is no.

Header wrap / a generous wrap of silicone rubber tape. REALLY cuts down on the resonance emanating from any pipe wall.
