Looking for advice......bought new 03 this year(left over stock) had it out last week for first real ride.... the power was amazing as was the handling, however, the off trail ride was lack luster. My brother's Switchback 144" sailed over the rough stuff almost as if it weren't there.
I've looked at the Tracks USA extensions and the Mountain Performance kit....
are there any other kits available, anyone install either of these kits?
Cheers

Talk to Tom Hartman at Hartman Inc. in Idaho. He'll give you personal attention and will give you sound advice based on your riding style and location. He has extensive Yamaha experience (20 years) and personally worked with Works Shocks in their developement of their snowmobile shock product line. He has a Kit for all Yamaha's and they are very reasonably priced. I talked to him a couple weeks ago about making the change for my Viper... about 750.00 for 136" 1.25" lug Rip saw with all materials including rivets, rail ext., tunnel extension etc. go to hartmaninc.com or call him at 208-468-1073...hope this helps...I noticed he has a lot less parts then the competitions kits and typically less expensive.

USA Extensions, Maxx. perf. tunnel ext., and 136" Ripsaw. About $650 just for parts listed.

if you dont trust rail extensions, Maxximum performance also has a kit that uses the full 136 rails, which are probably quite a bit stronger than the extensions (and will not loosen up over time) and it allows you to use the longer hyfax. Just a matter of preference though

I've got a 121 Ohlins M-10 extended to 136" in my 02 Viper with offset rear axle, billet 8" wheels and a Ripsaw track. Ohlins clickers up front as well with MPI chromolly trtailing arms, and this sled flat out rocks over the rough trails and really does well for off trail powder riding as well.
