Is there anything I should know about when tearing the engine apart? Best top end kit to use? Whats the best way to drain the coolant? Any other info/tips and tricks I should know would be helpful! Thanks in advance.

Have you read thru the tech pages? Get yourself a manual just in case by becoming a VIP.

Do a search there is tons of good reading on this very subject. Even a few step by step with pic rebuilds. I know blue did one on a srx (basically same engine) with pic's. Join as VIP and get a manual, worth every penny!!!! And ask away, too many links to post when i do a search but the info's there.
Where are you in ontario? Pm me with any questions, I just rebuilt my srx 2 weeks ago.
