SRX 600 vs. SRX 700

Hi folks. Anybody here have experience running a stock SRX 600 against a stock SRX 700? Are most parts the same, aside from the pistons, cylinders and heads? Anybody know what the HP of a stock 600 was? Thanks. Woody

I have minimal experience with SRXs, but I thought I remembered them being rated in the 122-125 hp range. HTH

The 1998-99 SRX 700s were 138-140. The 2000-02 were 145. SRX 600s were 120-125.

From what I've heard they were pretty close on the bottom end in a race but the 700 has the longer legs.

Great, thanks again. Earlier today I picked up a 2000 700 SRX. Overall it's in pretty good shape, but desperately needs a good cleaning. It only has 2600 miles, 1.25" track, Bender clutch kit, otherwise stock. I couldn't say no due to the price...although I didn't need another project these days!
