If you are using the stock 9t drivers at 2.52", I think you are geared a bit too tall at 22/39. Depending on your track/stud combination, I like a 21/38 or 21/39. This can all change with conditions however....
Srx
I know a guy same sled he runs 21/39 on grass so I think 22/39 be fine

21/40 worked great for me with heel clickers
I think ice and snow are not the same for gear ....21.40 for ice and 23 24 25 38 for snow ...

I tried 21/39 on 660 snow and kept getting passed by a F7 at the line. 3 times this happened.
I then changed to a 22/39 (the same race) and the same F7 never caught me again. This is running a non studded track. From that point on, I don't gear down as much on snow.
Hey is that with stock clutching or a clutch kit or what what weights were u using moodeyblue

I used heel clickers at the time. several years ago now.
if the track is hard you can get away with lower gearing. but if loose you will need more gear. I have never studded an SRX. maybe this helps and you can run lower gearing, but not with my experience. Lower gearing works great on grass, 19/39 or 20/40.
