Ok, got a belt for the srx... put it on, put airbox back on (took it off to make sure everything was clean)

OK, pull to start srx up, no go
put a lil gas in the right cyl (chaincase side)
pull her over, backfire or soemthing, cuz sparks came flying up and it popped really loud. Ok, thats sorta happened before, get a lil gas in it, fires up a bit, sounds like its only runnin on 2 cyl. mmk, try one more time, go to pull it, my new ****ing recoil rope breaks. OMFG im so close to torching the mofo.

:o| #$%&* #$%&* #$%&*

you gotta find out what is wrong with that thing so that you don't have to pull it so much and always start it with gas in the cylinders. How are your plugs? Are the carbs clean? Is the spark strong? How does it run once you get it going? Two strokes are fairly simple, only so many things it could be...

plugs are ok, carbs a little dirty, runs FINE once it starts.

chokes are ok, key isnt an issue, idles just fine, tried new plugs

don't sweat the hard starting man, mine is a damn bear to get started when it's been sitting and when it's cold. Let me tell ya, you can do some searching in here and find a lot of posts about how hard the damn SRX's are starting. It's not just you. The old shot of gas sure helps, but one thing that I read in here somewhere is that when you shut the sled down before putting it up for the day/week or whatever, instead of using your kill or key, just put her on full choke and leave it that way. Floods the cylinders leaving just enough juice in it to make it a little easier starting next time! Good luck! Just hang in there, it doesn't get any easier :o|
