Man, I go through this every year when I clean my carbs.lol. Which carb gets the richer jet? The clutch or exhaust side.? My notes contradict what is in my carbs. Thanks.

Changed between the years I believe. But for 2001 #1 cylinder is the PTO according to my 01 service manual. Parts fiche indicates #1 cylinder is the hot cylinder. However, I never understood how that worked, thought the mag side being close to the pipes would need more fuel due to heat soaking.

Yes It is confusing. I also clean my friends carbs(2000 srx700) and his was jetted hot on the mag side where mine is jetted hot for the clutch side.
98-99 use the big jet on mag side, the 2000-02 use the big jet on the pto side.
