Just picked up a decent 2001 SRX 700 but the rear skid need some work and for the cost I found a complete skid from a 2000 SX 600 . Will this skid fit the SRX if so any benefits of disadvantages to using it ?
Should be the exact same suspension, maybe different valving in the shocks?

IF it’s from a 2000 it will be a long travel and not what your srx had. It it will bolt right into place and give you more travel but then you will need to do something with the front. 97-99 SX or any srx will be the short travel
You are right no sx in 2000 its either a 99 sx short travel or a 2000 sxr long travel.

It will fit and be better than what it came with. If it is a 2000 it will sit a little higher and change the caster of your front spindles, changing the presser balance on your carbides. shim to adjust this.
