How to check harnd warmers with a meter etc

Won't work it seems. Both that is.. All fuses in the fuse panel seem ok. Some tips on how to check them with my multimeter would be appreciated. My grandsons sled and he rode the first time this week... must of froze..he said he was fine.. all guts I guess. I ran the machine for a long time this morning and they were ice cold..usually this machine gets them red hot.

My hand warmers worked, but there was no regulation. Either they were too hot or I turned them off. it also threw an error code on my instrument panel. IIRC, it was a single long red flash every few seconds.

When I checked them with a meter, there was continuity on the grips. I don't remember the readings. When I metered the control switches, they were either on or off, maybe 2-5 ohms and then infinity. I bought a set of used control switched on ebay and problem solved.

was the ignition in the position that turned them on? did that one once on my sxr.
