Anybody been crazy enough to build a full on improver or prostock race engine from a 97+ SX700 redhead motor, if so what did you see for power? Did you spin in around 9800-10200rpm?

Not talking about a ported motor with thin head gaskets and trail pipes.

been quite a few years back but worked on one made 186+hp, they can be made very stout. Pipes being custom built will be for sure needed, yes, it will be at 10,000-10,200rpm range.

I have one that was built by hauck in the early 2000s. Case ported, ported, shaved head, bored carbs, hand built pipes and I’m sure there is a ton more as I bought it used. It runs around 9800 rpm’s and on 114. Dyno in the summer after it was built was around 180hp.
