93 phazer questions

couple questions on my 93 phazer.

1) Roller bushings in the primary. how/when do you know if they need to be replaced? Mine are still smooth but seem to have a little bit of play in them while I have the clutch apart cleaning it. I can probably move them 1mm back and forth.

2) Boyesen reeds. I've tried searching these and most of the searches come up with little info. Who has put them in with no other mods and are they worth it. I read Yamanutz prefers Carbon tech anyone else have any input? Of those who have installed them, who has had issues with the bottom end bog some have stated?

they are supposed to move back and forth a bit. as long as they roll smoothly and the bushing is ok on the pin, i would not worry about them. you have blown out the clutched with compressed air i hope as they get plugged with belt dust over time.

no opinion on the reeds as i only ran piston port motors back in the day.

I also give a thumbs up for Carbon Tech. No Phazers but have or had them on all my Yamaha’s.
