So I just fired my viper 700 for the first time. I premixed first tank 50:1 for break in.It has new top end. After a short ride at part throttle I checked my plugs and they are grey in color? Is it because I didn't run it long enough to get color? Plugs looked good before rebuild and carbs were cleaned. What do you guys think? Go run it hard and see how they look?

No expert here but from my experience if they are new plugs it takes a while to get good color. If you have everything the same as before the rebuild and everything was good then I wouldn't worry too much about it. No need to premix as long as you bleed the oil pump and hold the pump open when you first start it after rebuild. If you feel better about using premixed gas it is better to use a gallon for the initial start and then top off tank with fresh gas. I would run it.

Do you still have to bleed oil pump if lines were never removed? Just did a top end rebuild.
