I have an 01 srx with transfer rods, was wondering where everyone sets there limiter straps, transfer seems really good with them in the middle should they be run tighter? better top end? Also what rear suspension setup for 660 drags?

I run my straps on the tight side for extra ski pressure on the trails - with 192 studs on hard pack I still get under 4 inch ski lift - the tighter you run them, the more you should consider a hyfax saver kit (extra wheel) because it will wear the hyfax out on the curve - I run that along with oversized wheels and hardly ever change hyfax - as far as drags, all I know is you want to slam it down as low as it will go - not sure the best way on that

the tighter you run them? I thought it was the other way around.

loose limiters are harder on hyfax, not tight. If you are experiencing excessive hyfax wear, you pull the limiters up some (tighten them)

That is only true when you soften your suspension at the same time - try this thread

If the center shock is fully extended when the sled is just sitting at rest, pulling up the limiters some will make the hyfax wear better. If the center shock is partially compressed when sitting at rest, taking some preload out of the spring will make the hyfax wear better. Just use some common sense when you do it, and you will see how and why.
