Electric shield hook up 1998 vmax 600

What wire can I tie into to use an electric shield. Heated grips no battery no electric star.

Wire it into the Tail light feed under the seat.

Why way back there? Under the steering bar pad are wires for all the electrical on the handle bars, hook up to the green wire that is in a 4 pin/wire white block, this is a constant source.

Its easy to bring the heated shield chords between the tank and seat.
