Hello, I recently have converted my 600 into a 700 when i had a motor failure. The only adjustments I made to the sled was to the carb and clutching. I am wondering if I need to change stator or cdi or anything else. This is my first conversion. Any help would be appreciated.

I would just check part numbers on each at a website like yamahapartshouse.com
That should tell you wether they are interchangable or not.

Looks like the list a 8DG did for a 600, and a 8DG and 8DM for a 700.
Not sure why they list 2 different ones for the 700.

I've ran my brother's 1999 600 cdi on my 2000 700 for a short time.(like you mention they are different part numbers). Sled ran exactly the same and I couldn't tell any difference between the two performance wise.
In my opinion your machine is fine as is.
