2001 sxr 700 back fire

Any ideas on an 01 sxr 700 dropping only the spark on the pto cylinder. I already changed out the coil with a known good coil . Cdi?

magnets on the flywheel rusty? maybe rubbed through wire grounding out

I took the coil pack off my SRX, same result. That eliminates the coil and plug cap. It is only dropping the PTO cyl intermittently.

Ground issue?? Do those coils have the brass bushings inside of the mounting hole.

Yes they have the bushings.
