My 700 is not running great, seems like it's running lean, high idle, bog when you crack the throttle and some backfiring. But when I crack the choke just a little it idles right down and runs great. I believe the jetting is stock. The carbs are clean and the fuel/ air screw is out 1.5, any ideas where to start?

Pull carbs again and check pilot circuit again. Sounds like pilots are still dirty.

Ok thanks, I'll start with that. I did notice the first time I had them out the fuel/air screw was out 2.5 turns and that was the only thing I changed when cleaning the carbs. But I didn't floss the pilot jet holes either. just hit them with cleaner and air

pilot jets are tuff. I use a jewelers loop on mine. if the opening (hole) is not perfectly round, its not clean
