hi all I was remembering the way things were when I was a kid and younger when there were sled oils like snobil etc and you could buy a brand new sled for 595.00you you could get 5 gallons of gas a quart of oil use a 5.00 bill and it only cost you 2.97!!! A poet once said "oh such sweet sorrow all we have now are fond memories" anyone have memories of way things were? Thanks!

With inflation calculated in you get much more for your dollar today than you did back then.

Not saying I do not like technology and improvements in vehicles, as that is my field of work and obviously the benefits outweigh the disadvantages, but I miss simplicity. when you needed to fix something on your truck, sled or boat... etc, you reached for a wrench not your cheque book.
