Riser extension/oil cable lenght

Hi everyone
I installed a 4 inch riser on my sons 2002 vmax 600er ordered the extension kit and installed, I am not able to get the oil cable adjustment as per spec actually not even close, throttle seams okay. Done some reading and these extension kits don't work so well, my question is will the oil cable off a mountain max roughly the same year model work for me?

Mountain max-02 throttle cable length 80cm approx. (31,5 inch)
Oil cable length 100cm approx. (39 inch)

I guess that wont work the one on the vmax is 39 inches as well thank you Simonsweden .
anyone out there recommend what cable I could use? Thanks

You need a cables from a '03 Mtn Viper. I have a 4" riser plus a 2.5" pivot, and they work fine! Just watch how you route the oil cable the most slack.

Thanks sleddineinar for the much needed help, I ended up modifying the cheap oil cable extension just to get him on the snow I will order this cable now!
