Timing advance?

Anyone ever advance the timing on a stock srx? On other brands it works well for extra ponies.

Can you run viper cylinders on srx? Better port timing?

Can you run a viper cdi on srx?

Yes you can run a cut key for the stator. 4 degree I think is the max you can get.
Yes with some modification to the exhaust flanges
Yes but only recommended for drag race only, way more timing in the viper cdi

Viper box will only match up to the 2001 2002 SRX wiring harness and to be used for drag racing only as posted above.

With a Viper CDI, you will lose the DCS (Detonation Control System). Just to let you know.

Do they make more power on a stock sled?

I believe the 03 and later Vipers don't have as aggressive a timing curve as the 2002. Not sure how much difference.

02 Viper CDI on an 01-02 SRX is supposedly good for 2-3HP. Not sure if its worth it for anything but a race sled.
