I know the Apex is a new design, delta II,hood/pan the whole shabam :WayCool:

but reading the stuff on the Nytro,it seems it sorta a X(Doo)Snopro(Cat) version of the Vector?

aka diferent seat and handlebar configuration and shock package

If so why is everyone mad at yamaha for making the Nytro when Doo and AC do the exact same with their specials?????

So can say someone with a 05 Vector retrofit the new seat/riser+bars,low bug deflector from the 06 Nytro onto the 05 Vector

I love the aggressive look of the Nytro ;)!

What are your thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing about a used vector.. But by the time you buy the shocks and everything else you probably be back to the new price. Plus there are a few new light weight components.

I really don't think anybody is mad at yamaha for making the nytro. and speaking for my self, i like the sled, i think its a nice step.
I think everyone is just a little disapointed, i know i am.

I think all they sled they have this year are great sleds that kick ***, its just with the hype they were giving, everyone thought there was going to be something really different, like a 2 cylinder 4 stroke that would be super light weight.

so not mad, just hoping for more.

seriously

Who was giving the hype??

Was Yamaha or was it some Yamaha posters

You know you write something then boom it is all over the net and it snowballs and people get unrealistic drea=ms of what the sled should be

Then we blame Yamaha????

Personnally I find Yamaha has a great lineup maybe the best line up they have had since 98 compared to the other manufactures offering

But back to the original post

Is the Nytro just a Vector "X"/"SnoPro" version of the Vector

If I were to buy new it would definetely be the Nytro

if you remember right yamaha had adds all over the place showing just a hand gaurd ( kinda makes you think they might be coming out with a real snowcross sled ????). plus all kinds of other stuff "we've go the future surronded". Something had everyone else checking out the yamaha's. if you remember ty had it bussiest day every the day before.

also dealers telling everyone wait till next year, it will change everything.

Once again, i don't think the sleds are crap, just tired of riding a yamaha and always being second best.

Really the only thing i am looking for a sled that changes so much that i would be happy to make payments on it. i havn't had payments in 3 or 4 years, always buying used, i though this year if it was so great, that i might not mind making payments, but its just not enough.

If i didn't have a sled, or mine got wrecked this year, then yes i would go out and buy a nytro, but thats not the case, and i think a lot of rev and firecat guys are thinking the same thing, not enough to get me to trade my sled in.

by the way the only way to get them to give us the sled we want, it to tell them, if not they will just keep building the same old sled, and as i remember we all loved our 97 sx's, so why arn't we still riding them.?????
