Me and my little Bro took on a proaction phazer 500 project recently. The original 121" was done, but we have a lightly used 136x 1.25" ripsaw on hand. Other then that our budget is low. So I cut up some old broken rails and started building. Turned out good for 30$ and 4 hrs of work.

that is a good idea. most rails i have that are screwed up are at the front mounts.

Thanks. After much research I realized our options would drain our resources too quickly, so I had to devise a way around that problem. Sometimes big budget projects are no where near as cool as pulling off dirt cheap, low budget solutions!

Turned out good. Glad to see you put grade 5s in the attaching holes.
I also turn unused items into usable shtuff. Right now am turning an old generator cage/frame into a mig welding cart. It had wheels on it too. The cost ....... my time.

Started a full tear down and rebuild of the skid in question. Surprisingly it needs very little other then some minor bushing shiming, normal greasing and fresh bearings. Here's a few different angle pictures of these low budget, home made, 121 to 136" rail extensions.

16 hrs later all redone with fresh bearings, bushings & shims, fresh synthetic grease, and stretched to 136" rails.

My brother has managed to rack up 600 kms on his budget 136" long track Freaken Phazer. Eventually we ll be relocating the rear shock mounts further back with drop brackets and a tunnel extension from our parts Venture.

Bump....

We managed 1700 kms on this skid last year. It's currently in my basement for a refresh for the approaching season.

Hopefully this cheap simple idea can help others.

121 to 136"

Little update. Skid now has 2700 hard kms and holding up fine.

It's currently in this red 600 Venture witch is actually a Freaken sled!

It's a Vmax XTC chassis , Phazer skid and suspension, SRX skis, Viper seat, Venture 600 triple engine, chaincase, tunnel extension and hood.
