Hi folks I haven't had a sled since my 1972 Arctic Cat 440 Puma, and am looking at purchasing 2 2002 Yamaha 700 SX Vipers both with around 3500 miles on them with a clam shell trailer for $4,000. Everything looks to be in decent condition. Does this deal sound reasonable, or am I crazy to consider sleds this old?
Thanks for your input.

I would say if they have been in a enclosed trailer all their life, that’s a great deal.
Those sleds go 8 to 10,000 Miles no problem.

Thanks for the response. Do you know what the compression should be I assume around 120 psi?

those are a good deal with the trailer. good sleds too.
i suggest a good synthetic oil to help keep the power valves cleaner and running it slightly ritch on the oil pump. ask if the needles have been raised in it for the stock lean mid range they had from factory. brother had an 02 and my dad has an 05 and the stuff i said helps them live for a long time.
i would not be afraid of that deal at all.
