Hoping for some advice. Have a 99 600 vmax 600 triple and the coolant bottle keeps dropping approx 1/4” sitting in garage over a couple of days. Can not find any coolant in engine compartment or at rear of sled so I don’t know where it is going. Took it to dealer and they did a pressure test and it was fine.
Ironically I went to garage last night to check again and sure enough it dropped 3mm in the bottle from my last mark. I then pulled the rad cap off and hose was empty. Filled hose back up through rad cap opening but have not checked tonight. Sled has not been driven just sitting parked, where can coolant be going
I am really puzzled

It could be going into case. Do plugs look white or milky? Pressure test should mean it’s not but worth a look. But if we’re talking 3mm that can happen with normal expansion and contraction of parts?
Plugs look normal. Why would hose under rad cap be empty, any input would be helpful

Same thing happening to my sxr 700. I figured that it was just the water in it evaporating, because my plugs look fine and no apparent leaks. Runs fine. Just make sure to bleed coolant out and replace

Thanks. I will try that
Put it on a stand, take off your seat bleeders in the back. Might have to lift it and put it down a few times to make sure it’s bleed good
What is the process to remove seat to access rear bleeder screw

Open up luggage area at rear of seat, will be two 12 mm nuts, one on each side.
Undo front snaps with flat screwdriver or similar. If you just start pulling, may rip. Unhook elastic band at front top center of seat.
Then under the seat there will be a plug in for the rear tail light. It must be unplugged before you can remove the seat.

Ok I bled both the back and front of sled and topped up coolant. I started it and let it idle for 5 min and drove approx 1km.
Coolant did not drop. My question is when I check in the morning and the coolant has dropped what is my next step. Dealer has already done a pressure test and said it was fine

Oki checked this morning and coolant has dropped 1” in the bottle from mark yesterday. Should I just run it and watch coolant. I’m thinking it must be burning it. I guess back to dealer for another pressure test
Check water pump seal.
Did you find out what caused this?
Just got sled from dealer today. They pressure tested again and found no problem. Could not find any leaks.
They had it for a week. Said it could have been an air lock and to just run snowmobile.
Problem is we don’t have enough snow to get out on it.

Got out and put 100km on yesterday with no problems. Must have been an air lock.
