Hi there I am looking for some advice on a 1999 Yamaha srx mod sled I have built. The problem seems to be that I have a dramatic bottom end bog. The engine is bran new good great compression, power valves have been cleaned and set correctly servo is working the way it should, carbs have been cleaned and brought back to as close to factory spec as possible “jet change for k&n pods” new plugs, new gas, torrs has been deleted. I’m at a loss.

If you flip the choke does the bog get better? Wondering you are lean on the bottom due to the filters.

I’m not sure when I had got it it had the pods and was clearly running a long time with them before that.

I'm a little confused excuse me, but has it ever ran for YOU without the bog?

whats the jetting specs you have in it???, youll need large pilot jets and maybe even raised needles for the pod filters.

Yes, what Mrviper700 said. Putting the carbs "back to as close to factory spec as possible"...not sure why? You need to jet it according to a jetting chart for the elevation and temp you ride in, as well as the extra fuel it'll need for the K&N air filters that are giving it more air than the factory air box.
Also looks stretched out...has the gearing and clutching been adjusted for that? That will also give you your bog if gearing and clutching is off.
