Does anybody have a trick for removing a broken rusted speedometer key from driveshaft without having to remove the shaft?

I currently have one i can’t get out yet.
Usually, there is enough to grab with a needle nose.
My next plan is to get an angle drill, put a small bit on, and very slowly try to tangle the key, with the bit, and pull it out like that.
