Question on oil pump and shaft condition. 1997 Vmax 600 sx

I just want to check with the people who have first hand knowledge, as this is the first time i have had this kind of sled apart. To me, the shaft that drives the oil pump looks stripped out along with the drive tang on the oil pump. Thanks Des
