I have heard a lot of opinions on this and i want it settled once and for all so i can decide if i want to buy one or not. first I have heard you need to machine your clutch to get this to actually help you at all. I have also heard that you just put it on and BAM! you get 5 extra mph in top speed. This interests me a lot and its only about $100. but all i want to know is how much work is needed just to get that 5mph. I dont really care about gearing it with that sheave for better acceleration because I already have tons of low end/midrange parts. If it is not to hard to put on I'll buy it, meaning no machining ect.. I almost forgot, do you have to adjust your clutch settings with this or is it a put it on and go piece? i just looked and for a hauck sheave, you need their helix, which is $120, is there another brand that can use the stock helix? mcb performance has some but i am not sure if they are Hauck ones or not.

You need a special spider tool to disassemble the clutch to swap it out, clutching stays the same, you can gear down 1 tooth on top for same top end and better acceleration (I have one on my sled) and any secondary aftermarket helix will work or you can use a stock helix and a spacer, I have a spacer on my for sale stuff on this forum.........
