2001 Srx runs on 2 cylinders at full throttle.

Hi. My sled runs fine at low and mid but when i hit the throttle it revs up to 8000+ rpm and then loses the pto cylinder. I've cleaned the carbs and set the valves. Changed plugs and plug caps. Could it be a coil issue?

unplug the headlights and try it, if it doesn't drop a cylinder its likely the stator going south. easy to try.

Have you pulled the reed block from that cylinder? whats the max rpm it will hit, is it 8500rpm?

It hits 8100-8300 at the most before it starts running on 2.
I've pulled the reeds on all cylinders and they all look fine.
I will try the lights and get back to you.

Is the float to low and running the bowl out of fuel or possibly the needle/seat screen full of junk?
