will try to make long story short as possible...2001vmax 600 triple....right heat exchanger was leaking....took sled in a got it replaced, also carb cleaned.......picked sled up and left it on truck for 4 days....then went to move sled off truck and when sled started temp light came on after maybe 2 minutes...I shut sled down then re started in 5 minutes and it ran fine and no temp light...backed it off truck and parked it...left it running for 20 minutes and no temp light....then sled just quit....restarted sled and it ran fine, no temp light on.....ran another 20 minutes with no issues so shut it off....next afternoon start sled and temp light on in 3 minutes plus sled shuts off 3 times...when sled shuts off it starts right back up and runs fine...when sled shuts off it is like hitting the kill switch....I had enough by then so I take it back to place that fixed it....it started there and ran fine for 15 minutes with no temp light or stalling....I left it there and got call it was ready to pick up Friday...go Friday to pick it up and was told that it was taken out a few times and the sled did shut off acouple times...wires and some connections were checked and they seemed convinced problem was solved...they took it out they said for a good ride and no more shutting off.....they said temp light did not come on at all.....when I started sled to load in truck temp light came on...they told me had to be the temp sensor since sled was just started so it could not be over heating (which makes sense)...so loaded sled and this morning went to Markdale...unloaded sled and temp light came on...I turned off sled and restarted sled and then temp light stayed off..went 1 mile down the trail sled shuts off....restarts immediately and then minutes later does same thing....drive back to parking lot...check connections, etc...even unplug kill switch thinking perhaps its shorting somewhere but then within a minute of driving it does it again...had enough so loaded back on truck and back home...so any ideas? all I know is when heat exchanger was dripping sled was running fine, no stalling, no temp light on.....since fix and carbs cleaned temp light comes on and off and sled keeps shutting down.....Help!!!! Hey I understand that you can bring anything in for something to be fixed and then something else breaks immediately but to me this does not seem like a coincidence but maybe I am wrong......
Sound like air in the system, did you take the seat off and bleed the cooling system?

thanks for reply....well they said they did that...I am guessing if there is air in system that would not be why it is shutting off ?

I have no ideas other then a short somewhere as to it shutting off. I would start with going over entire wire harness. Then work way to CDI/stator ect. But with odd temp sensor light thinking a bad connection, exposed wire shorting ect.
