Anybody have a good clutching setup for 79 et340 trailriding. Also, for 81 et300. The stock clutching doesn't seem to shift fast enough. It's like it hangs up in 1st gear. It's very similar on both sleds. Also, what belt do you recommend for these machines.
i run dayco ultimax on those sleds and have never had a problem. as to the doggyness in the clutching, you need to replace the primary springs in those clutches and make sure all the bushings are good. odds are the springs are weak from all the years being under load in there. i know my et410 needs a new one as it is getting boggy and not back shifting well at all.
