For an 07 Venture XL with trailing arms, would the new mountain skis fit as replacements? The reason I ask is that the new mountain skis, in a VK540, can take wider skins. This of course greatly enhances deep snow performance.
I see references to the 05-10 mountain skis being a good fit for the Ventures, and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on this possible mod.

never tried them. i always use the 06-09 apex mtx skis. i know a bunch of guys love them and no one has mentioned anything special to mount them.

OK, I will try and sniff out the part number and a source for those. I have a hunch that the new mountain skis would work, but no way to confirm easily.
