2002 Viper with ATACC altitude compensator (Holtzmann) run at 8000 feet. It was initially running fine, then began to start hard due to rich condition. Once it started it ran fine with good power.

In rejetting, I pulled the airbox and found it about 1/3 full of gasoline. Hmmm that can't be normal. Holtzmann tells me it can't be the ATACC, but for some reason fuel is leaking back through the system into the airbox.

What do you think is causing that? Bad or leaking needle on one of the carbs? Some other condition that's filling the vent lines? Any other ideas and possible fix? What am I looking for?

my cousin's viper had this problem and it was a bad fuel pump (probably a sticky or torn diaphragm internally. The float heights were also WAY off. Got a new fuel pump, adjusted the floats, and she runs like a champ
