My vk 540 starts and idles fine. When reved up or trying to move it cuts back on one cylinder and occasionally fires on the other cylinder. New coil installed with new caps and plugs. Checked the spark on both plugs and it is good. When I stopped after the last run on side of the motor was very hot, plug and head bolts hot to the touch. Any help would be appreciated.

This is how I check for grounding issues.
1. Snowmobile needs to be in a COMPLETELY dark area.
2. Start sled. Unplug headlight and remove the 1157 in the tail.
3. Take a spray bottle that atomizes well and mist the engine compartment.
4. Grounding issues are really easy to spot. It'll be a light show.
