Did a search with no answer. Owner's manual shows 7 flash patterns in addition to the bulb check at startup. Number 1 is overheat, but there's no explanation of the other 6 except call your dealer. What do they all mean?

I don't think so as the Viper has the electronic gauge and the Vmax has the old analog gauges. It doesn't have any of those indicators or lights except the temp warning light. (not counting the low oil light)

That is the info from the Viper Tech Manual for codes. Look at the link and the images.
Well that did point me in the right direction. It's not the Viper codes, but the 01 Ignition Codes that apply to the Vmax. Mine is number 3 - grip warmer discontinuity.
