We were in the mountains last weekend having a great time, and when Barret got the escape stuck, Steve took off his soaked gloves to help us get him out of the hole. I lifted the back, and Steve fell bacwards, his hand touched the back of the tunnel on the RMK. I dont know how, it didnt seem that sharp, but it opend his hand up like a chainsaw. 2 inches long almost, over 1/4" deep, right through the muscles to the bone. So there we sat, 10 km from the cabin, another 20km from the truck, and the weekend over. We patched him up, all of us were carrying first aid kits, and shock alost immediately set in. So, make sure if you help someone, leave your gloves on, its a real bugger to get stitches, let alone riding 30km down a mountain bleeding like you have been shot. No fun at all, luckily it missed the tendons, or it would have been way worse.
