I am wondering if anyone has tried to take an SRX bottom end and use it for the viper. My #3 crank rod bearing went and looking for ideas, I was tossing the idea around about it due to the bore and stroke being the same, pistons and rings also, so just throw the cylinders and the top end on it, what would be the downside to doing that. Input please.

You can use the 00-02 SRX bottom end. I've used viper bottom ends on SRX's.
the only down side is it looses some of its snappyness/qicker rev compared to stock. bounus is it gains a buch of low end torque with the viper pipe. brother ran a 00 srx bottom end is his viper for 2 seasons before he built a new viper motor for the sled.
