Newbie on 2 stroke side as I currently have a 4stroke viper,looking at buying a 2003 viper with about 6000k on it it has electric start and reverse and it nice shape,what should compression be on this sled?any other things I should be concerned about?he is asking 2500 cad and comes with new battery and factory cover,thanks for info.

Compression should be less on the clutch side on a viper. Yamaha doesthis on purpose on a Viper.
You may see around 120 psi on mag and center, and around 10 to 15 psi less on clutch side if memory serves.
They do this within the cylinder head. More volume on clutch side.

if you purchase, clean the power valves and use red lock tight on the ring gear bolts on the flywheel as they are known to come loose over time.

Yes, clean and adjust, mine were way out of spec on my low mile srx
