Okay so ive been working like crazy on my 97 vmax 700sx. So far i have a set of simpn cpr pipes.i bought a stock airbox to replace the k&n filters that came with the sled i then gutted the airbox. I also have reedspacers and I have a set of adjustable transfer rods on the sled now aswell. I have rejetted the carbs and am waiting to clutch it when i can test run it on snow. I want to gear it differently but this is where im undecided so the main objective this year is to keep up with my brothers apex he bought. We ride long stretches across the lake with probably 1/4 mile races. So i dont know wether to gear down to 22/40 or gear up to 23/39 the stock gear is 23/40. Any advice on what would work the best to help me keep up this year?
I would stay stock on gearing for now. I would also do the one layer head gasket.
