Hello all
First road test with my new MM700 2001, with electric starter and reverse. Everything seems ok. When I run the sled, I can hear a "ding ding" noise that seems to come from maybe the reverse arm or even the brake system. But for sure there is nothing slack and I'm almost sure this noise come from the right side when I'm riding.
Anyone know wha tthis could be? and If this can be eliminated ?

is the starter gear/spring touching the ring gear? we had to machine the ring gear on the kit my brother got because it was doing this on his sx viper.

Thanks Maim, Will look into this possibility next week end! Also I begin to think this might be the disc break. Will also look if this could be that.

I had a secondary clutch bushing come out and was rattling on the jack shaft. Made a similar sound.

I found the sound! Effectivly, there is a small loose in the brake disc !! This doesn't seem a problem. I think I 'll let that in place and open the chaincase at the end of the season. Do you think this is ok?

it should be ok. just loose on the keyway from the sound of it.

They are ALL slightly loose on the keyway from what I have seen over the years.
